Festus Attah is a Ph.D. Candidate in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at Auburn University. His research focuses on U.S. farmland policy, specifically estimating the impact of anti-foreign and anti-corporate farmland ownership statutes on farmland values. His expertise includes matching methods, instrumental variables, regression discontinuity, and causal inference.
He holds a B.Sc. in Natural Resource Management and an M.Phil. in Agricultural Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), as well as an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Georgia.
Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Festus is married to Vera Obeng, a practicing artist and photographer. They have a son. In his free time, he enjoys econ-podcasts (Econtalk), racquetball, shooting pool, and reading novels.
